The Credit Analyst II is responsible for developing and analyzing all required financial information and preparing analytical analysis documents and supporting materials. The Credit Analyst II should be proficient in interpretation of the financial activities of a credit relationship, including areas of concern.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of previous credit analyst work experience is required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate courteously and professionally in English (both written and oral) before groups of customers, team members, and management of the Bank.
  • Strong listening, organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively relate to all levels of the Bank staff.
  • Must possess strong problem solving and computer skills and the ability to learn/excel in the usage of all software applications utilized by Signature Bank of Arkansas.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel is essential.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, manager, customers, and the general public.
  • Sound reasoning and judgment skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic, and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit a sense of urgency to provide the finest of customer service at all times and in all forms of verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to provide financial analysis for complex credit relationships with multiple individuals and/or entities with layered ownership structures.
  • Perform job function with attention to detail, a focus on accuracy, and a sense of urgency with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in key financial ratios, including calculation, definition, and interpretation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Excel, including but not limited to, writing formulas and specialized formatting.
  • Exhibit proficiency with the financial spreading function in the Hawthorn River workflow software.
  • Ability to prioritize job duties to meet lender expectations and adhere to required deadlines.
  • Build working relationships with the lending staff, providing interaction and assistance concerning credit analysis or other needs.
  • Remain informed of the Bank’s lending policy and industry’s regulatory requirements.
  • Attend County and Executive Loan Committee meetings.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate financial highlights for credit relationships, both oral and written to lenders and management.
  • Prepare annual reviews of credit relationships for the largest borrowers of the bank.
  • Be actively engaged in continued education, including but not limited to, reading industry articles and maintaining working knowledge of local, regional, and national economy.
  • Perform all other tasks requested as they relate to the Bank and its functions.
  • All Team Members are accountable for compliance with all laws, regulations and adherence to established internal controls and procedures when performing their job duties.
  • Each Team Member is expected to be familiar with the legal and regulatory requirements and internal controls affecting his or her job responsibilities.
