About The Position

Analyzes credit data to estimate degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to firms or individuals by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements and assessment of credit requests on complex commercial credit relationships of $2,500,000 and greater. Keep up to date with the company’s lending protocols. Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines for projects in a high-pressure work environment, with varying degrees of supervision and a working knowledge of accounting principles and financial techniques. Research skills Strong problem-solving, mathematical and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Proficiency with computers and computer software, like programs that aid in statistical and financial calculations Proficiency with financial reports and statements Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data Impeccable understanding of financial statements, ratios, and concepts The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, be a team player and have a strong work ethic. Performs loan reviews/annual reviews on selected borrowers and guarantors for commercial credit relationships of $2,500,000 and greater. Performs cash flows, financial credit analysis, collateral valuations, global cash flows, etc. for commercial borrowers and guarantors on credit relationships of $2,500,000 and greater. Accompanies relationship managers on customer calls and site visits of potential and existing customers as requested / needed. Performs ongoing file maintenance to ensure credit information is uploaded to the credit file in a timely basis as needed. Identifies policy, collateral, and missing document exceptions. Identifies strengths and weaknesses of the relationship. Researches and summarizes industry information for potential and existing customers. Runs credit bureaus and background checks for potential and existing commercial customers and guarantors to evaluate for potential credit worthiness and/or fraud. Spreads financial statements and tax returns for potential and existing commercial customers and guarantors. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. A.) from four-year college or university, Accounting or Finance degree preferred; minimum of three or more years of credit analysis experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Compliance Requirements Responsible for compliance under the requirements of the BSA, AML, OFAC and CIP related policies as well as adherence to the bank's procedures to fulfill the requirements of the regulations. Must report any unusual or suspicious activity involving customers or fellow employees to the BSA Department.
