About The Position

Act as an expert member of the Credentialing team in credentialing and privileging including processing of credentialing and re-credentialing applications for health care providers. Mails, reviews, and verifies credentialing applications. Sets up and maintains provider information in an online credentialing database system. Tracks license and certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals. Requirements

  • Excellent diction, grammar, and vocabulary both verbal and written with the ability to organize, structure and communicate information and ideas clearly.
  • Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to collaborate within and across departments to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • A high degree of organizational skills, ability to set priorities, manage multiple demands and the ability to complete tasks under strict time lines is required.
  • Ability to record minutes, prepare agendas and prepare for meetings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point).
  • Ability to think and work autonomously to ensure highest level efficiency within the department
  • Bachelors Degree - Preferred
  • 0 - 3 years of General work experience - Required
  • 2 years Provider Credentialing - Required

Nice To Haves

  • CPCS - Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist - Preferred
  • Some medical terminology is preferred.
