About The Position
This position involves assisting and delivering patient care duties, providing administrative support, and assisting providers in the examination and treatment of patients within a physician office setting. Key tasks include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, recording information in charts, and preparing treatment rooms. The role also involves cross-training to enhance efficiency and continuity of patient care. Kettering Health is a not-for-profit system of 14 medical centers and over 120 outpatient facilities in southwest Ohio, dedicated to promoting and restoring health with a focus on patient safety and exceptional care.
Requirements
- For MA/CMA: Current Medical Assistant certification/registration as CCMA, CMA (AAMA), NCMA, RMA (through AMT) OR completion of KHMG Medical Assistant Training Program OR MA program through an accredited institution of higher learning and successful attainment of certification/registration within 15 months of hire
- For LPN: Graduate of accredited LPN program (or equivalent) with current Ohio license
Nice To Haves
- 1-year clinical experience in a medical/physician office setting
- Practical knowledge in the following areas: examination process, diagnostic and treatment room procedures, medical equipment and instruments, safety hazards and precautions, confidentiality/discretion
- Experience with use of electronic medical records
Responsibilities
- Assists and delivers patient care duties
