Ultra™ is already the #1 brand of nicotine-free pouches in the world. Our mission is to build the category-defining brand of functional pouches for people who want enhanced performance without the crash, addiction, or long-term downsides. Ultra does not just make a pouch that is somewhat “better for you” than Zyn. We make functional performance products that are actively good for you. The market shift is massive: nicotine pouch sales are up 3,000% since 2019 and projected to reach $20B by 2026. Consumers are adopting the pouch form factor at scale, and many are now seeking nicotine-free functional benefits in a pouch. Ultra is positioned to lead that wave. Ultra is looking for a NYC-based freelance videographer + editor who can produce, shoot, and edit high-performing short-form content at speed — with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role. This is not a “show up and film” gig. We want someone who can take a creative direction, turn it into a shoot plan, direct on set, and ship edits that feel native to TikTok/Reels/Shorts — while still meeting Ultra’s bar for premium, performance-driven storytelling. You’ll work closely with Growth + Brand and be trusted to move fast, stay organized, and iterate based on real performance feedback.

Requirements

  • You’re NYC-based and can be flexible + on-the-go
  • You can shoot and edit at a high level — and you can produce/direct, not just execute
  • You’re deeply plugged into what’s trending and know how to adapt trends to a brand
  • You’re highly skilled in CapCut (and comfortable moving fast in post)
  • You own your own camera + lighting equipment and can run a nimble set
  • You have strong taste, but you’re also performance-aware and iteration-friendly
  • You’re extremely organized, communicative, and accountable
  • You collaborate well and enjoy building with a team

Nice To Haves

  • DTC / consumer brand experience
  • You’ve built repeatable content systems (series formats that scale)
  • You’re comfortable with both UGC-style speed and premium brand storytelling

Responsibilities

  • Creative Production & Direction Produce and direct shoots end-to-end: concepts → shot lists → on-set direction → final exports
  • Help translate marketing goals into content systems (repeatable series, formats, hooks, and angles)
  • Maintain a strong point of view on what will win on social — not just what looks nice
  • Shoot a mix of: Cinematic DSLR/mirrorless content (lighting, composition, movement, product hero moments) Native iPhone content (fast, real, trend-aligned, “shot on phone” energy)
  • Capture clean audio and run-and-gun setups across NYC locations (office, streets, gyms, creator homes, etc.)
  • Bring and operate your own camera + lighting gear (and know how to use it efficiently)
  • Edit primarily for TikTok / IG Reels / YouTube Shorts
  • Be fluent in CapCut and current social editing styles (pacing, text, cuts, templates, sound, memes)
  • Create multiple versions per concept (hook tests, cutdowns, CTA variants) and iterate quickly
  • Ensure exports are platform-ready and organized for handoff
  • Write strong hooks, captions, and on-screen text that drives retention and conversion
  • Collaborate with Growth on scripting frameworks and performance learnings
  • Keep a tight workflow: file naming, folder structure, versioning, deadlines, and clear communication
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external talent (creators/athletes/partners)
  • Be reliable, responsible, and proactive — we move fast, and the work compounds
