About The Position

Are you looking for a hands-on internship where you can gain real-world experience in Creative and User Experience within the marketing industry? IMM is passionate about developing the next generation of marketing professionals through immersive, high-impact internship programs. We are seeking a motivated, curious, and detail-oriented Creative/UX Intern to join our team for Spring or Summer 2026. This paid internship is part-time, 20–25 hours per week. Internships for IMM are onsite in our Boulder, Colorado office. A Day in the Life: As a Creative/UX Intern, you will gain valuable, marketable skills by engaging in and assisting with: Designing layouts, revisions, and exploratory creative concepts Assembling and polishing presentation decks Supporting case study documentation, layout, and web asset preparation Creating low-fidelity wireframes and light prototypes Annotating UX explorations and organizing design files Preparing production-ready assets and supporting QA processes Shadowing Creative/UX leads to learn workflows, tools, and standards Observing internal reviews, planning sessions, and cross-functional collaboration You will contribute meaningfully to internal marketing initiatives and case study development, with potential exposure to discrete components of client work as appropriate to your skill level and business needs. Primary Internship Project: The Creative/UX Intern will support IMM’s internal marketing initiatives and case study development through structured Creative and UX assignments. This includes: Supporting UX and design execution for internal initiatives Assisting in developing case studies for web and presentation use Contributing to layout design, wireframing, and production tasks Participating in feedback and revision cycles to refine deliverables This project provides exposure to agency creative workflows, UX processes, production standards, and collaboration across Creative, Strategy, and Marketing teams. Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program
  • Be pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, or related field
  • Be a junior or senior in college (recent graduates considered)
  • Have a foundational understanding of design and/or UX principles
  • Have working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Be comfortable preparing organized design files and production-ready assets
  • Understand basic layout, typography, and component-based design
  • Be comfortable working from briefs, annotated wireframes and design systems
  • Be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple assignments

Nice To Haves

  • Strong interest in Creative and UX within an agency environment
  • A portfolio demonstrating foundational design thinking and craft
  • A portfolio with at least 2-3 digital layout, UI or UX-focused examples
  • Experience with wireframing, layout design, or prototyping tools
  • Experience preparing assets for web or presentation use
  • Comfort working within brand guidelines and design systems
  • High attention to detail, especially in production and QA work
  • Ability to incorporate feedback and iterate on work
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
  • Proactive, self-starter attitude
  • Interest in learning how strategy, UX, and creative come together to deliver impactful outcomes
