Creative Student Assistant - Photography
About The Position
The Creative Assistant – Photography serves as the photo lead or support for a variety of projects for the Office of Student Life, which includes five unique teams: Residence Life, Housing, Commuter Life, Graduate Life, and Online Life. The Creative Team of Student Life has the privilege of supporting a variety of project and program needs from event coverage, staged photoshoots, and environmental photoshoots. The Creative Team of Student Life is highly collaborative, therefore regular partnering with social media, design, and videography Creative Assistants should be expected. This collaborative nature of the team may provide opportunity to help execute social media strategy, design graphics, copywrite, or provide video event coverage. While outside the standard scope of photo work, these opportunities will support individual growth in these areas while also strengthening team.
Requirements
- Must be a Liberty University student.
- Experience in content creation (photography, photo editing and/or manipulation, etc.)
- Ability to operate a DSLR camera and accessories.
- Ability to use Adobe Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.)
Nice To Haves
- Liberty University student in a creative/communications field of study.
- Demonstrable experience in content creation (graphic design, videography, copywriting, etc.)
- Proficient ability to use Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Direct and manage talent on-set, provide photo editing, color correction, and photo manipulation.
- Partner with the larger team to develop photo style guides, filters, and other unifying photo elements.
- Ingest, manage, and archive photo content and digital files in Dropbox.
- Research current photo trends, styles, and applications.
- Serve as a liaison with internal and external partners to coordinate locations, develop strategy documents, and photo delivery.
- Other duties as assigned.
