About The Position

Reports to EMIC Communications Director. Provides direction for all things pertaining to look, feel, sound, and presentation for print pieces, products, digital, TV, or other media forms for EMIC. The main purpose is to unify all the pieces into one seamless work. Assists various EMIC departments in understanding updates to visual identity and design elements as necessary. Includes overarching creative support for KCBC within the scope of EMIC communications, ensuring alignment with the church’s visual and messaging standards.

  • Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, calculators, smartphones, office phones and other office equipment.

  • Because of the wide range of personal contact with ministry leaders within and outside the organization, this position requires considerable diplomacy, maturity, and excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Membership and attendance at EMIC are preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Design or Business preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and innovation in the conceptualization, coordination, design, and planning of all media and print items.
  • Contribute to holistic ideation and concept development across multiple media channels.
  • Aid in developing new music, teaching, and other products for ministry.
  • Establish and maintain consistent brand identities across EMIC platforms.
  • Direct and mentor the creative team of designers to consistently deliver on-brand designs.
  • Collaborate in brainstorming and developing ministry growth campaigns, ensuring alignment with organizational mission.
  • Collaborate with the key departments to get our message out (TV, Church, social media) in new and creative ways.
  • Work with EMIC/KCBC to help balance production and creativity within church culture, context, and relationships.
  • Liaison between EMIC Communications and other departments to help develop and support consistent messaging and design within EMIC and KCBC.
