Our Summer Internship Program is a paid, immersive 10-week experience designed to help you explore career paths while bringing your passions and fresh perspectives to work. This well-rounded program not only offers hands-on learning but also serves as a pipeline for future opportunities.   The KPIX Creative Services department collaborates closely with all departments at this CBS owned-and-operated station, including News, Sales, Engineering, and Production. The Creative team writes, shoots, and produces promotional content that markets News, Streaming, Sports, and Special Events across on-air, streaming, and social platforms.

Requirements

  • Internships are available to students who will be Seniors or Master’s students in the fall of 2026. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities.
  • You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June.
  • Interns will be required to work fully on-site for the duration of the program. Note: Paramount does not provide financial relocation support or housing stipends.
  • Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional).
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
  • Employment eligibility to work with Paramount in the United States is required as the company does not engage in sponsorship for internships.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro and Photoshop; experience with After Effects and Illustrator is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine and 3D software such as Cinema 4D, Blender, or other CGI tools is a plus.
  • Experience shooting with professional or semi-professional cameras is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • The intern will assist in conceiving, writing, shooting, and producing promotional content, including both in-house and field shoots.
  • They will collaborate with engineering and production teams in KPIX’s virtual reality environment, supporting the creation of VR content used across stations, the network, and syndication, and gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge broadcast technology.
  • They will work with designers to develop on-air graphics and contribute to special design projects.
