Creative Project Manager

Red Door CollaborativeBellevue, WA

About The Position

Red Door Collaborative is a creative agency serving enterprise tech organizations and SMBs with visual design, content, and motion work. We're a small, human-centered team — highly collaborative, quietly intense, and genuinely good at what we do. We're also evolving: AI is reshaping our industry, and we're leaning into it as a tool that enhances our work rather than replaces the people doing it. We're rooted in SoCal and the PNW, but we're a fully remote team of creatives. We work Pacific hours and meet in person rarely — this is a real remote role, not a "remote for now" situation. This role requires someone who thrives collaborating daily within tools like Microsoft Teams, Monday.com, Figma, and Frame.io — someone who communicates proactively and can keep projects moving forward with our clients and our creatives. We're hiring a Creative Project Manager to lead production across our creative team — a group of 12 full-time designers, content creators, motion artists, and PMs, plus a rotating group of individual collaborators that can expand the team to 20–30 people depending on project load. This is not a support role. You'll own project timelines, resource allocation, and creative quality control. You'll build workback schedules, adapt them when clients change direction (which they will), and ensure every deliverable meets our bar before it goes out the door. You'll report directly to our Associate Creative Director and work embedded within the creative team. You'll be the person who keeps projects moving, keeps the team steady when things get chaotic, and keeps clients confident that we're delivering something worth waiting for. We're actively hiring for this role and looking to bring someone on as soon as we find the right fit.

Requirements

  • You have 4+ years of experience as a project manager in a creative agency environment — not adjacent to creative work, but embedded in it.
  • You've worked as a creative yourself at some point — designer, writer, editor, something. You understand the work because you've done the work.
  • You have real experience with Monday.com (strongly preferred) or a similar tool like Asana or Wrike.
  • You've worked with enterprise clients and understand the pace, scale, and complexity that comes with large tech organizations. You don't need to know their products inside and out, but you know how to navigate their approval chains, stakeholder dynamics, and expectations.
  • You're highly detail-oriented — not as a personality descriptor, but as a practice. You catch things other people miss.
  • You're calm under pressure — not because you don't feel the stress, but because you know that if you panic, everyone else panics too.
  • You're proactive and communicative without being a bulldozer. You speak up, follow up, and push when needed — but you do it with empathy and tact.
  • You have an open, growth mindset about AI and are excited to explore how these tools can make our creatives better. We're not looking to replace our people with AI — we're looking to expand what our team is capable of.

Responsibilities

  • Project management: Build and maintain workback schedules across multiple concurrent projects. Anticipate bottlenecks. Adjust when timelines shift — and they will shift.
  • Resource management: Manage capacity and assignments across internal team members and individual collaborators. Know who's available, who's overloaded, and who's right for what.
  • Creative quality control: Review work before delivery. You're not checking boxes — you're evaluating whether the design, content, or motion work actually meets the client's intent and our quality bar. This requires a real creative eye.
  • Client communication: Translate client feedback into actionable direction. Manage expectations. Ensure our clients aren't just happy with the work, they're genuinely delighted by it. That's the bar.
  • Process stewardship: Maintain and improve how we work in Monday.com. Keep documentation current. Make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Benefits

  • Paid Time Off and Paid Company Holidays
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance (including FSA and HSA options)
  • Safe Harbor 401(k) with company match
  • Annual charitable matching program
