About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: Manages all aspects of the video creation process from pre-production concepting, scripts, storyboarding, timelines, shooting, to post-production editing. Has a willingness to continually explore new, creative paths for video capture, animation and editing techniques. Demonstrates a collaborative, cross-functional approach for planning and problem solving. Successfully manages multiple projects simultaneously. ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES: Captures video footage for video productions including: how-to product videos, human interviews, on location sites and in studio using video camera equipment; makes technical decisions regarding such elements as appropriate lighting, shooting angle and audio equipment. Edits and assembles final visual/audio program material; ensures consistency and relevancy to production; monitors technical quality of end product. Tests all equipment to determine technical quality of recording, audio and lighting apparatus prior to operation in the field. Oversees the security, operation and maintenance of equipment utilized in shooting and editing. Proofreads, reviews, and presents final video footage to the Integrated Marketing Manager and appropriate teammates for approval; suggests improvements as needed. Also prepares final files for distribution. Coordinates and directs video shoots. This can include responsibility of securing a site location. Manages talent selection and scheduling. This can include voice-over talent as well as modeling talent. Creates voiceovers utilizing AI voiceover software services while researching and staying up to date on AI voiceover trends to ensure the company consistently uses the best and most advanced AI voiceover solutions. Manages storyboarding scripts and visuals and obtaining final approval from the marketing team/project owner. Applies photo retouching, color correction, special effects, animations to video footage when necessary. SECONDARY DUTIES: Captures and edits miscellaneous photo requests including, but not limited to, headshots, product shots and other creative shots on an as needed basis. Develops contacts and work relationships with vendors and suppliers. Proposes desired software and hardware upgrades to Integrated Marketing Manager for potential purchases. Obtains appropriate training on purchased items. Monitors hardware/software updates and issues, works with IT on new software needed to keep department systems current and running efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, video production or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2-4 years of experience
  • Experience in developing creative video projects from concept to completion
  • Leverage AI-powered design tools to enhance creative workflows and produce high-quality, innovative content efficiently
  • Utilize machine learning algorithms to automate repetitive design tasks, allowing for more time to focus on creative strategy and innovation
  • Excellent computer skills, especially with current editing software; Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, Motion, Compressor, MacOSX; Photoshop; InDesign; Illustrator; Bridge; Acrobat Professional; Microsoft Office Suite; SharePoint; Social Media applications; basic HTML knowledge is a plus
  • Understanding of brand management
  • Conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures of videography and editing
  • Knowledge of design elements, such as color and composition is vital
  • Ability to quickly develop concepts and mockups to visualize new ideas in context
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adjust priorities to meet evolving deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively present ideas verbally, visually and in written form
  • Team player, self-motivated and goal oriented
