A day in the life of a Creative Director, Global Brand, Lifestyle at Vans looks a little like this. As Creative Director for Global Brand, Lifestyle, you will define and evolve Vans’ creative vision across all lifestyle categories and consumer touchpoints. This role sits within the Global Brand Creative team and is responsible for shaping the brand’s identity and storytelling globally, ensuring cultural relevance and resonance with diverse audiences. You’ll partner with Brand Management, Marketing Operations, Regional Marketing, and Creative Production to deliver integrated campaigns that celebrate Vans’ heritage while driving future-forward lifestyle positioning. The Creative Director reports directly to the VP, Brand Creative and partners with cross-functional leaders to align creative vision with strategic Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

Requirements

  • Skill in adapting global campaigns for regional relevance while maintaining brand consistency across markets.

  • Confident communicator with experience leading meetings and presenting creative strategies to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a diverse and creative team in toward the successful execution of the Global teams strategic creative vision
  • Develop and execute a holistic creative strategy that reflects Vans’ lifestyle positioning across all consumer experiences.
  • Create compelling narratives that connect Vans’ heritage with contemporary culture, ensuring authenticity and emotional impact.
  • Oversee concepting and execution of global brand campaigns across multiple channels (e.g., retail, experiential, partnerships, content).
  • Define creative direction for lifestyle segments (e.g., skate, surf, music, art, street culture) and ensure alignment with brand values.
  • Identify and integrate emerging trends, cultural movements, and creative collaborations that reinforce Vans’ position as a global lifestyle leader.
  • Establish and maintain guidelines for visual identity, tone, and storytelling across all brand touchpoints.
  • Partner with regional teams to ensure global campaigns translate effectively while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Develop and execute a cohesive creative vision for social and digital platforms that aligns with Vans’ brand identity and global marketing
  • Partner with regional marketing teams to adapt global campaigns for local relevance while maintaining brand consistency
  • Manage creation of all social and digital assets (photo, video, motion graphics), ensuring high-quality, on-brand execution across channels
  • Establish guidelines for photography, styling, and visual storytelling specific to social and digital platforms; update annually based on trends and insights
  • Oversee asset selection, retouching, and file management for global and regional teams to ensure timely delivery and consistency
  • Maintain visual identity and messaging integrity across all social and digital touchpoints, reinforcing Vans’ brand positioning
