About The Position

We are seeking an innovative and visionary Creative Copy Director to lead the voice, tone, and storytelling of our brands across all platforms. This is not a traditional copywriting role - it is a chance to shape our brand's perception, captivate our audience, and drive our creative vision forward. In this role, you will shape the brand narrative across all channels, ensuring every word we share is rooted in strategy, creativity, and authenticity. You’ll lead a talented team of copywriters, collaborate with cross-functional leaders, and bring a fresh, forward-thinking approach to how we communicate and engage to drive business results.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience in copywriting, content strategy, or related fields
  • 3+ years in a creative leadership role, managing and mentoring teams
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative and strategic copy across multiple channels
  • Proven expertise in SEO and AIEO content optimization
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Creative Writing, or related field
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strategic thinker who can translate business goals into compelling creative concepts
  • Collaborative mindset with strong cross-functional communication skills
  • Curiosity and openness to innovation, including AI’s evolving role in content and search
  • Must reside in the Dallas metroplex

  • Background in PR or publishing (editorial) highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Creative & Narrative Leadership: Serve as the steward of our brand voice. Conceptualize, develop, and implement a cohesive and compelling copy strategy across all channels.
  • Team Mentorship: Lead, coach, and develop a team of talented copywriters, fostering creativity and accountability.
  • PR & Storytelling: Leverage your strategic storytelling skills to create compelling narratives (press releases, key messages, and other communications) that drive media interest and brand reputation.
  • SEO-Driven Strategy: Balance the art of storytelling with the science of search - ensuring all content is optimized for SEO and emerging AIEO practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with Marketing, Creative Design, Product, and PR partners to ensure our verbal identity is consistent and powerful.
  • Editing & Quality Control: Serve as the final gatekeeper for brand voice, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and excellence in all written materials.
