Burson is looking for an ACD, Copy who is a creative storyteller passionate about how ideas move through culture and earn attention. We are looking for someone experienced working with pharma and healthcare clients, with the ability to translate complex topics into compelling narratives for both HCP and DTC audiences who thrives in an integrated PR environment. Ideal candidates will be nimble, collaborative, and energized by multi‑format creative work. We are looking for a writer who is fluent in short‑form social copy, pitch decks, and persuasive video scripts and a supportive leader who enjoys mentoring and developing junior creatives, helping them elevate both craft and thinking. You should be a collaborative, positive team player who can jump in wherever needed and a culturally aware thinker with a finger on the pulse of trends, conversation, and the evolving media and healthcare landscape. It's a bonus if you appreciate humor and help keep teams inspired.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of creative experience, including 3–5 years in a mentorship, supervisory or team leadership role.
  • A proven ability to generate strategic, earned-first ideas that break through in culture.
  • Strong writing skills across social content, pitch decks, scripts, PR activations, campaign platforms, and long‑form storytelling.
  • Experience concepting and delivering short‑ and long‑form video content.
  • Demonstrated experience working with pharma/healthcare clients, including navigating MLR processes and shaping work for both HCP and DTC audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills across Account, Strategy, Social, Influencer, Digital, Production, and Corporate/Issues teams.
  • Confident and persuasive presentation skills with the ability to guide nuanced client discussions.
  • A portfolio showcasing conceptual thinking, integrated creative work, and samples of social copy, pitch decks, video storytelling, and healthcare/pharma content.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day‑to‑day creative across integrated health PR programs.
  • Develop breakthrough, earned-ready ideas in a heavily regulated space across earned, digital and paid.
  • Oversee copy development across social content, scripts, thought leadership, brand storytelling, and pitch decks.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to junior and mid‑level creatives, offering guidance, feedback, and opportunities that help them grow.
  • Support and lead production across social, video and earned activations.
  • Build strong client partnerships, identifying ways to extend ideas, pitch new opportunities, and drive proactive creativity.
  • Oversee multiple projects often across different brands and therapeutic areas.
