About The Position

The Creative Content Specialist will be responsible for designing eye-catching graphics, capturing high-quality photos, and maintaining our social media presence to connect with our audience and amplify our brand. If you’re a visual storyteller with a passion for design, photography, and digital engagement, we’d love to have you on your team.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in communications or related field is required. Degree must be from an accredited institution whose program of study has been recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or the United States Department of Education. Willing to consider an additional two (2) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree or a combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience in varied communications functions is required.
  • Proven experience in graphic design, photography, and social media management (samples required).
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom).
  • Basic photography skills, including knowledge of lighting, composition, and photo editing.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite), and analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Graphic Design:
  • Under the supervision of the Senior Graphic Designer, work within our established brand, create visually compelling designs for digital and print media, including social media posts, email campaigns, screens, brochures, and presentations.
  • Under the supervision of the Senior Graphic Designer, maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all visual assets.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to conceptualize and execute creative campaigns that align with brand goals.
  • Photography:
  • Under the supervision of the Senior Graphic Designer, plan, shoot, and edit photos for Citizen and employee events, as well as social media content.
  • Maintain and organize a library of visual assets for easy access and future use.
  • Ensure all photography aligns with the brand’s aesthetic and storytelling goals.
  • Social Media:
  • Under the supervision of the Director of Communications, develop and execute social media strategies to grow our online presence and engage with our audience.
  • Create, schedule, and publish content across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Monitor social media trends, analyze performance metrics, and optimize content to improve engagement and reach.
  • Interact with followers, respond to comments/messages, and foster a vibrant online community.
  • Non-Essential Functions:
  • Perform other related functions as assigned.
