About The Position

Learn to deal Craps and Blackjack at Horseshoe Indianapolis and start a rewarding career! Paid training -$17 / hour. Training Academy begins Monday, April 27th. Classes are Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm. $2500 Bonus (Restrictions apply). Once you pass the class your earning potential skyrockets! Deal craps, blackjack and other table games in a fun and rewarding environment. The Dealer will create and maintain a fun, entertaining, party atmosphere for extended periods of time while dealing various table games. Will provide the best service experience for customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous live casino dealing experience or completion of an approved training course in card and dice games.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess excellent math skills and have the ability to multi-task.
  • Responds to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to consistently meet the appearance and uniform standards for this position
  • Must have the manual dexterity to manipulate cards
  • Must be able to stand, reach, bend, twist, turn, grab, grip, sort and stack
  • Must be able to maneuver from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, strong odors, dust, loud noises and bright lights
  • Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission.
  • Access to gaming floor required

Responsibilities

  • Complies with Indiana Gaming Commission Regulations, approved internal controls, as well as company policies.
  • Greet each guest with a bright, genuine smile and enthusiastic verbal greeting
  • Control pace/protection of the game and inform the Supervisor of any request or unusual play
  • Generate fun and excitement at all times while communicating with our guests.
  • Exchange cash for gaming chips according to established procedures
  • Change over deck of cards or dice, inspect and mix cards.
  • Verify bank roll fills with the supervisor and security personnel.
  • Maintain continuous inspection of cards or dice, ensure betting in compliance with game rules and minimums set.
  • Close game, sort cards, balance rack, count chips, and sign off with the supervisor.
  • Assist guests with questions on casino activities or refer to appropriate personnel.
