About The Position

Join a growing industrial maintenance team as a Crane Technician Specialist. We’re seeking skilled, hands-on professionals who enjoy tackling mechanical and electrical challenges in a fast-paced environment. The Crane Specialist will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility cranes and hoisting systems, along with other industrial equipment. This includes mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, system diagnostics, and detailed documentation according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. While certifications are a plus, hands-on experience with overhead cranes and lifting equipment is key.

Requirements

  • Prior experience with overhead cranes and hoisting systems
  • Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and crane safety standards
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a similar role
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Mechanical and electrical repair skills
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex equipment problems
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Strong commitment to safety policies and procedures
  • Willingness to participate in training and professional development
  • Works well independently and within a team
  • Follows verbal and written instructions accurately
  • Demonstrates initiative and reliability
  • Valid state driver’s license, insurance, and dependable transportation
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Nice To Haves

  • Crane inspector certification (preferred but not required)
  • Industrial Maintenance Technician certification or training preferred
  • Leadership experience within an industrial maintenance team (3+ years preferred)
  • Technical understanding of heat treat operations and related systems
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards, particularly for heat treat operations
  • Knowledge of budgeting, performance tracking, and preventive maintenance planning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on overhead cranes, hoists, and related equipment
  • Conduct routine crane inspections per OSHA and manufacturer guidelines
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems using schematics and diagnostic tools
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and resolve system issues efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs
  • Follow all company and industry safety procedures and regulations
  • Support broader maintenance functions as needed across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Work weekends, overtime, or variable shifts as required
