About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Crane Technician II to support general maintenance operations, with a focus on assisting in crane inspection and repair activities. This entry-level to junior position is ideal for individuals who have some foundational mechanical or electrical knowledge and are looking to build a career in industrial maintenance—especially in crane systems. The Crane Technician II will assist with basic troubleshooting, routine inspections, and maintenance tasks under the guidance of more experienced technicians. This role provides valuable hands-on experience and training opportunities in industrial maintenance and crane operations. While certifications are not required, a willingness to pursue them is encouraged.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
  • Willingness to learn troubleshooting methods and preventive maintenance procedures
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and follow safety protocols
  • Eagerness to participate in on-the-job training and skill development
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and technical instructions
  • Reliable and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently with supervision or as part of a team
  • Can follow verbal and written instructions effectively
  • Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and dependable transportation
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Interest in learning about crane systems and inspections
  • Comfortable working around industrial equipment
  • Familiarity with safety practices in an industrial setting
  • Willingness to pursue certifications or training in crane operations or maintenance
  • Work is primarily in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Must be able to walk, climb, bend, and move safely around machinery
  • May occasionally lift or move items up to 50 lbs
  • Use of vision for close inspection and basic equipment monitoring
  • Operation of hand and power tools under supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Some hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical work, or a related field is preferred
  • Previous exposure to crane systems or lifting equipment is a plus, but not required
  • Technical training in industrial maintenance or mechanical/electrical systems is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance on facility and crane systems
  • Support basic troubleshooting and repairs using tools and documentation
  • Help perform routine crane inspections and maintenance tasks
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Support housekeeping and 5S standards in work areas
  • Be available to work overtime or weekends based on operational needs
