Tulsa based fabrication shop is looking for experienced Crane Operators for full-time employment. This position is based at our Tulsa facility and may operate between our Port of Catoosa and Inola, Oklahoma facilities as required. Candidate will use cranes and other equipment to safely move loads of various types and weights from one point to another without damage to the object moved, property or personnel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities a) Operations: Acts in a combined capacity as driver/machinery mover/millwright/laborer. Responsible for operation of crane used in heavy lifting and transport. Operates crane equipment to hoist materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Assures that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and correctly rigged. Performs tasks assigned by rigger during lifting procedures. Other duties as assigned. b) Safety Compliance: Responsible for personal safety and safety of co-workers. Shows commitment to TCR safety culture through personal behavior and willingness to influence others. Responsible for slings, cables, straps, and the crane prior to lifting operations. Assures that lifting gear is inspected prior to use. Follows correct lock-out and tag procedures. Participates in safety meetings and other rigger safety programs. Responsible for creating an environment fostering open communications concerning safety issues. c) Supervision and Communication: Reports to manager; directly supervises oiler; assists team leader and signal persons. Remains in continual voice (radio), hand, and/or visual communication with rigger while operating the crane. Responsible for own and rigger’s compliance with company policy, safety guidelines, and procedures pertaining to the crane operator’s job. d) Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance as required to ensure safe and continual service of crane. Supervise oiling of the crane.
