Craft Helper Assist Craft Journeyman in the assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Assist in the diagnosis of malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and assist in correcting the problem. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States. Austin Industrial is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.
Education: no minimum education requirements.
Certifications/Licenses: Valid Driver’s License
Experience: 1 - 2 years of Helper level experience.

Responsibilities

Gathers tools and supplies to be used at the work site according to the instructions.
Measures, cuts and bends wire and conduit, using a ruler and hand tools.
Drills holes for wiring, using power drill and pulls or pushes wiring through opening.
Trace out short circuits in wiring, using knowledge of wiring and test meter.
Assists in lifting, positioning or fastening objects.
Performs minor repairs.
May disassemble defective equipment, replace worn or defective parts and reassemble equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
