About The Position

Maintain DISD structures in excellent condition to ensure the safety of students, staff and community members while maximizing learning opportunities

Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
• Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Have a good driving record
• Be willing to attend classes and workshops
• Ability to assist Technicians in the transformation of plans into a completed product
• Basic knowledge of general maintenance work performed in school facilities
• No experience necessary

Responsibilities

• Maintain all safety and code requirements of the State, local and Board of Education guidelines
• May be required to be on 24-hour call-out
• Be able to work with designated crafts in work that they are assigned to do
• Assist Technicians by performing regular preventive maintenance on equipment
• Perform all other duties as assigned
