The CRA Mortgage Loan Officer will establish and maintain relationships with community based organizations, Realtors, and governmental agencies which result in lending opportunities for the bank to ensure full compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have a minimum one year of experience marketing and originating CRA mortgage loans and loan products.
  • Must maintain an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).
  • Must have effective proven effective sales skills.
  • Must have excellent time management skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and ability to work with minimal to no supervision.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to assigned branch locations, customers' homes and businesses, and perform presentations when requested.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have superior customer service skills.
  • Must have proficiency using Microsoft applications such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Proficiency with industry standard Mortgage origination software programs is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Sell and originate residential mortgage loans to a predetermined sales goal focused in CRA assessment area needs.
  • Identify and meet with prospects, explain various mortgage products available, determine best alternatives together with prospects and finalize sales.
  • Work with community based organizations and municipalities to collect and submit subordinate financing (down payment assistance programs) for consideration in originating mortgages to low-moderated income borrowers.
