Position Overview
As a Source Inspector , you will travel to supplier facilities to perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections on precision-manufactured parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies. Using your expertise, you will verify compliance with engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, and industry specifications. Your inspection results will be reported directly to the customer via a web-based application.

Requirements

• Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standards.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) and engineering requirements
• Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings and purchase orders (POs)
• Experience with mechanical inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
• 1099 Contractor (Must have an LLC or be willing to obtain one)
• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and final inspections on machined parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies
• Inspect parts per engineering drawings, ANSI Y14.5 GD&T, AS9102, and other relevant standards
• Use precision mechanical inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102
• Report inspection findings directly to the customer via a web-based platform
