About The Position

Perform basic racking and un-racking techniques. Actively supports the department’s ability to meet safety/EHS, quality, and production requirements, as well as other duties assigned by management. Assures consistent quality of production parts by following good manufacturing practice systems; validating processes and providing documentation. Participates in continuous improvements within the department and assists in continuous improvement projects throughout the facility using disciplined problem-solving techniques in order to support and meet department goals.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent verbal, written and listening skills and have the ability to provide written and verbal instructions and present information clearly
  • Must be able to pass basic skills assessment for Microsoft Excel and also demonstrate basic skills with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to understand and work with basic mathematical concepts
  • Must be able to pay attention to detail.
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand work order requirements.
  • Identify parts using printed and/or electronic pictures.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, when required, including weekends.
  • Working directly with Management, Production Support, and Quality department personnel.
  • Is trained in the Ultra C-Lean/6s process and ensures department personnel are following the process.
  • Participates in the Operator Verification Procedure to ensure compliance.
  • Participates in Root Cause and Corrective Actions.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in all work areas.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements and assist with the enforcement compliance.
  • Handles customer supplied product with care.
  • Maintain and reinforce ORIZON’s quality standards to meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Manages time appropriately so that production, quality, and delivery schedules are met.
  • Interacts professionally with co-workers and vendors, understands internal customers, and strives to maintain good relations with others.
  • Responds quickly to inquiries and follows up as needed.
  • Embraces change to ensure overall success of the company.
  • Must wear any/all PPE including protective gloves and boots, as well as chemical resistant suits and respirators as required.
