Position Highlights The Multnomah County Circuit Court is hiring a Courtroom Clerk for the Honorable Pam Haan (Courtroom Clerk). In this role… You will provide moderate-to-complex support to the judge and judicial assistant by preparing files for pretrial review, scheduling hearings and trial dates, preparing motions, orders, and judgments, retrieving case law as requested, managing the judge’s docket, updating multiple calendars, assisting in case tracking, and reviewing documents filed with the court for accuracy and completeness. You will also screen visitors and mail, obtain needed signatures, certify court orders as directed, summarize the day’s rulings, and verify the status of warrants. You will provide backup for the judicial assistant and will train, and mentor newer courtroom clerks as needed. Additionally, you will prepare the courtroom for the day’s proceedings, swear in witnesses, mark and maintain exhibits, monitor proceedings, respond to security needs, maintain audio and electronic records, update the case management system, and schedule and facilitate Cisco Webex appearances as needed. You will assist attorneys, litigants, and the public in using the court system and will answer questions about the status of cases and court procedures.
