About The Position

The Courtesy Patrol position plays an integral role in the success of our team, our community and creating a place our residents are proud to call home. You will be responsible for providing unparalleled service to our residents by ensuring a visibly appealing presence on the property and addressing concerns as they arise. The Courtesy Patrol is responsible for maintaining safety and security on the premise.

Requirements

Capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
Ability to understand and communicate written and verbal directions
Regular attendance, reliability and punctuality is necessary to meet the needs of new and current residents, guests
Ability to work nights and weekends is a MUST
Must be able to work overtime as needed
Required to work on an on-call basis
Outstanding customer services skills
Well organized with excellent attention to detail
Aptitude to work independently with excellent time management skills
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Fluent in English, verbal and written

Nice To Haves

Minimum one year experience in related field preferred

Responsibilities

Patrol all common areas and monitor building premise to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
Ensure all gates, doors and locks are secure
Promptly address any resident calls for noise or disturbances while on duty
Greet residents and guests pleasantly and provide them with information, as requested
Verify resident information for security purposes prior to allowing access to the building
Efficiently handle and resolve resident concerns, requests for assistance if needed
Escort individuals when requested
Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences and give to property manager at end of every shift
Assess situations and appropriately escalate as needed to Property Management and/or police or fire department in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons
Inspect all exterior & interior lighting
Interact positively with residents to maintain high levels of resident satisfaction
Demonstrate strong professionalism and integrity as a representative of the community
Contribute to the cleanliness and curb appeal of the community
Comply with all industry Fair Housing rules and regulations
Operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times
Other duties as assigned by Property Manager
