About The Position

This position coordinates program activities in accordance with established guidelines and rules, requiring ongoing problem-solving while supporting the daily operations of the statewide Court Interpreter Certification and Regulation Program (CICRP). The role offers a variety of coordination and operational support responsibilities, with a focus on administrative and accounting functions. To learn more about the program, please click here. This role operates with minimal supervision and calls for a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who enjoys contributing to and supporting a team of four professionals. Responsibilities include handling confidential and sensitive information with sound judgment and discretion. Travel is required, and experience with databases is preferred. Examples of work performed include, but are not limited to, the following: Processes a variety of applications, including verifying eligibility and generating confirmation letters and examination results. Collects and inputs data for statistical reports; maintains automated office systems, databases, and a comprehensive filing system. Assists in CICRP budget preparation and projections; monitors and processes monthly expenditures; completes purchasing card transactions; obtains bids; and prepares purchase requisitions. Orders supplies, maintains inventory of property and supplies, and serves as the official property custodian for the CICRP. Books and coordinates travel and meeting arrangements for CICRP staff; audits invoices and travel reimbursement requests.Provides information to court personnel and the public via telephone and email communications. May serve as a test proctor and/or provide administrative support during oral exam administrations and/or orientation workshops.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, criminal justice, psychology, sociology, or a closely related field.
  • Three years of professional, administrative, and/or analytical related work experience.
  • Ability to prepare, proofread, and edit reports, correspondence, and other documents accurately.
  • Proficiency in basic math, budgeting, financial tracking, reporting, and data management, including a working knowledge of basic statistics.
  • Proficient in using computers and common software applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated discretion and independent judgment when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and complete special projects with minimal supervision.
