The Clackamas County Circuit Court is hiring a Records Management Clerk (Court Operations Associate). In this role… You will image, file, maintain the integrity of and purge legal documents in accordance with written procedure. You will verify image quality, determine the status and placement of the record and perform records research and data entry. You will retrieve and return files to the court’s off-site records facility for administrative operational units, court staff, attorneys, county agencies and the public. As part of the position, you will provide information regarding pending and closed cases, policies, or procedures of the Records Unit and the court. You will also explain Oregon Judicial Department (OJD) and local court policy and procedures regarding case types to other employees and customers. Assisting the public with computer terminals and providing information contained on the internal case management system will also be part of your duties. Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs. We welcome all candidates who are inspired by our work and mission.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least three (3) or more years of responsible experience in a moderately complex office or business setting involving the processing of financial, administrative, or legal documents OR Any combination of education and experience equivalent to three (3) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
  • Experience providing customer service to a variety of individuals in challenging circumstances.
  • Experience performing a variety of clerical or administrative tasks in a business or professional environment.
  • Experience maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines despite frequent interruption or distracting surroundings.
  • Experience explaining processes, procedures, or policies to a wide audience.
  • Experience reviewing documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Experience identifying and safeguarding confidential information and materials.
  • Experience using a variety of software programs to access and input information and complete various tasks.
