We welcome all candidates who are inspired by our work and mission . The Klamath County Circuit Court in Klamath Falls, Oregon, is hiring an Operations Clerk (Court Operations Associate). In this role… Most of your day will be to review daily financial reports and make necessary correction on the exception reports and receipt journals for the criminal, traffic, civil, and juvenile case types. Prepare daily deposits and verifies its accuracy, audit tills, make changes, and ensure other staff balance their tills correctly. You will work closely with the Central Service Accounting department in explaining our court procedures, orders, adjustments, outages, clerk errors, disbursements, and ensures documents are scanned to the case for verification. Other duties include assisting leads to create business processes to be used by all staff. Assist the training unit staff on these business processes and follow-up and review to assure accuracy of work performed. Work with the judges, litigants, attorneys, and other professional department agencies in use of the court system. Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

Requirements

  • The qualified candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent AND At least three (3) or more years of responsible experience in a moderately complex office or business setting involving the processing of financial, administrative, or legal documents OR Any combination of education and experience equivalent to three (3) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
  • Experience providing customer service to a variety of individuals in challenging circumstances.
  • Experience performing a variety of clerical or administrative tasks in a business or professional environment.
  • Experience maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines despite frequent interruption or distracting surroundings.
  • Experience explaining processes, procedures, or policies to a wide audience.
  • Experience reviewing documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Experience identifying and safeguarding confidential information and materials.
  • Experience using a variety of software programs to access and input information and complete various tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Skill in communicating in Spanish preferred, but not required.

Benefits

  • We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees [OR up to 99% of medical insurance premiums for part-time employees], including mental health coverage.
  • The hourly equivalent for this position is $25.55 - $39.64.

  • OJD will pay you a 5% allowance for bilingual skills (includes ASL) if you can pass a skills test and are assigned to use those skills on the job!
  • You are potentially eligible for a 5% annual increase.
