Case types include state, civil, small claims, traffic, criminal, and other general sessions cases within the City and County of Denver. As a Criminal and General Sessions Supervisor in the clerks office, you can expect to: Supervise the day-to-day operations for the General Sessions/Criminal Division Act as liaison between court participants, court personnel and various Judicial Officers Plan, schedule, coordinate, assign work and establish goals and priorities for your team Monitor and document team performance, provide ongoing feedback regarding level of performance and formally evaluate team members in relation to performance Develop and lead training programs for your team, while providing actionable feedback Interview and select team members reporting directly to this position and assist with other interviews as necessary Initiate/recommend disciplinary action as necessary Recommend, develop and coordinate the implementation of new procedures Make recommendations to leadership regarding workplace trends and budgetary requirements Any one position may not include all of the duties listed. However, the allocation of positions will be determined by the amount of time spent in performing the essential duties listed above. The Criminal and General Sessions Division is a fast-paced environment serving many customers with complex legal matters. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience performing technical, paraprofessional, and/ or administrative work.
  • One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.

Responsibilities
