PURPOSE STATEMENT: The Court Coordinator acts as a liaison between the hospital and identified county agencies in order to accurately and timely file court documentations necessary to conduct Mental Health Court. The Court Coordinator will be the point person for petitioners, patients, physicians, social workers, city solicitors and all others regarding Mental Health Court. The Court Coordinator will be the in-house educator of court documents. This individual will be knowledgeable of all involuntary patients in the hospital, their commitment status and commitment expiration dates and will work with the patients treatment team to identify individuals who may need to return to Mental Health Court for continued treatment. The Court Coordinator will also provide administrative support as assigned by the Director of Social Services / Case Management. This position requires providing service to all age populations in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
