About The Position

Bowhead seeks a Courseware Developer and Instructor to support the SBIRS Operations Support contract at Buckley SFB, CO. Responsibilities • Support development of the SBIRS Space Mission Force (SMF) operations training curriculum (to include lesson plans, visual aids, study guides, performance scripts, and knowledge tests) using U.S. Air Force Instructional Systems Development (ISD) processes• Perform classroom and performance-based instruction for Mission Qualification Training (MQT), Continuation Training (CT), Advanced Training (AT), Difference Training (DT), and Instructor Qualification Course (IQC) training sessions• Aid and support the development of spacecrew governing documentation such as Ready Spacecrew Program Tasking Memorandums (RTM), Master Task Lists (MTL), training program presentations, and Patriot Excalibur (PEX) system processes• Document student performance and progress in U.S. Space Force-mandated database systems (e.g. PEX)• Operate the Standard Space Trainer (SST) to conduct operations training sessions in both scripted and ad-hoc sessions• Create and update SST training scenarios to facilitate performance-based training outlined in the training course Individual Plan of Instruction (IPOI) • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited university
  • At least six (6) years of mission-specific operations, training, or management experience required SBIRS weapon system
  • Recent SBIRS Block 20 Mission Processing operations experience in Space Delta 4 or 710th Operations Group to include the 460th Operations Support Squadron, 2d Space Warning Squadron, 4th Space Warning Squadron, 8th Space Warning Squadron, or 11th Space Warning Squadron
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in curriculum development/instruction in either SBIRS or a similar system
  • Possess knowledge and experience with Instructional Systems Development (ISD)
  • Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level.

Nice To Haves

  • At least five (5) years of support at the Group, Wing, or-HQ level within a HQ AFSPC-related stakeholder including SAF, SMC, and USSTRATCOM is preferred
