About The Position

The Course Development Manager leads course development, re-development, and enhancement for OnRamps dual enrollment courses in close collaboration with the Associate Director of Distance Learning and Distance Learning team.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Education, or subject area within the OnRamps course catalog.
  • Demonstrated understanding of high school teaching and learning.
  • Three years of experience in course development, preferably for online delivery.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders with decorum and tact.
  • Proficient in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) or another LMS.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in Smartsheet or other Project Management system.
  • Five years of experience in course development, preferably for online delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Leads a team comprised of Course Builders.
  • Provides guidance and coaching, allocates and oversees work, manages work schedules, and promotes and supports employee development using proven methods.
  • Designs and uses data-driven approaches to ensure ongoing staff growth and program improvements.
  • Supports course development and re-development projects to deliver distance courses and learning tools on time to positively address the learning needs of students in K12 and higher education settings.
  • Develops learning assets through management and coordination across multiple teams within the organization, across departments, and other units at the university.
  • Applies knowledge of curriculum and instruction in K12 and higher education settings to lead the development of course and learning experiences, enhances processes for development and enhancement, and supports the development of other online learning tools.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders by providing exceptional customer service, technical support, and problem-solving with professionalism, positivity, tact, and decorum.
  • Leads and manages designated special projects that advance the mission of OnRamps related to course development under the direction of the Associate Director for Distance Learning.
