About The Position

As an Online Course Delivery Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for all online instructional activity within the Carson College of Business, including both masters and undergraduate business programs delivered through WSU Global. This position is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of faculty recruitment, hiring, training, evaluation, course scheduling, and instructional delivery processes, as well as engaging faculty in important marketing and recruitment. Serving on the CCB Graduate and Online Programs team as the central point of leadership for cross-functional teams, the manager collaborates across the WSU system with academic departments, the Carson Center, distance campus business directors, Global Campus, fiscal services, enterprise systems, publishing representatives, marketing and communications and enabling partners to ensure high-quality, compliant, and scalable online offerings. The position drafts and recommends policies; and develops, implements processes related to delivery of online programs, inclusion of campus students in online programs and provides supporting data, reports and recommendations to college leadership.

Requirements

  • Positions require a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a field related to the functional managerial area which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
  • Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • A Masters degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one year of the required experience.
  • Strong written and verbal intercultural communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with others from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Progressive experience leading academic program operations, faculty coordination and training, or online education initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, multi-term instructional systems.
  • Expertise in quality online higher ed program delivery.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing, tracking and reporting program data.
  • Experience in student academic support programs.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently, but within a collaborative team environment, and ability to establish priorities and follow-up in a timely manner.
  • Experience designing and delivering pedagogical training.
  • Master’s degree and experience administering large scale online programs.
