About The Position

This position involves driving to multiple locations to pick up environmental samples. The route starts at the West Springfield, MA service center to pick up a company vehicle, then proceeds to North Kingstown, RI, then to Elmsford NY, and finally returns to West Springfield, MA to return the company vehicle. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 4:30 PM to 12:30 AM. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to West Springfield, MA. Compensation is $18-20/hour, with overtime available as needed. Benefits are offered after 30 days of employment. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Must have a valid US drivers license without recent incident
Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
Must be comfortable driving
Must live a commutable distance to West Springfield, MA
Ability to follow technical instructions and guidance
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, driver history and background check

Responsibilities

Perform all duties as outlined in the SOP for Couriers
Pick up and deliver samples, bottle orders and report to the laboratory for sign-in and analysis
Count the number of samples when receiving them from clients to make sure that the Chain of Custody and samples match
Verify that samples are not broken or damaged
Receive and sign the Chain of Custody
Ensure that client signs, dates, and records time on the Chain of Custody when releasing samples
Transport samples on ice from client site to the lab, or from our lab to a sub-contracted laboratory
Documenting, packaging and transporting samples in accordance with appropriate project-specific sampling and analysis plans/protocols
Responsible for quality control of all assignment and completing documents
Following and enforcing company health and safety policies
Perform other duties as assigned
