About The Position

In This Role, You Will: Travel to the local post office, either upon request or according to established schedules, transportation of documents, supplies, mail to meet the needs of the business. You will also process and prepare incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and supplies of assigned locations and departments, ensuring continuous flow of interoffice mail.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in similar role (coordination, administrative, processing, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in writing and orally.
  • Must have ability to work with little to no supervision and be able to independently determine tasks to complete on a daily basis.
  • Ability to receive assignments by phone and email.
  • Ability to accurately read, identify, and sort addressed items.
  • Must be able to meet strict deadlines, with strong attention to detail and follow-up ability.

Responsibilities

  • Sort and deliver documents, all classes of mail, packages, and shipments to all locally assigned departments/offices.
  • Ensure mail, packages and supplies are collected, prepared. processed, and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Collect mail from Post Office PO boxes each business morning.
  • Organize and coordinate outbound interoffice mail, working closely with department points of contact.
  • Receive and distribute certified or registered mail and packages.
  • Drive to the various branch locations in the Greater Baltimore Area to make deliveries; travels to out-of-state branch locations may be required.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading deliveries using hand trucks and other delivery assistance devices.
  • Responsible for completing and maintaining all required paperwork.
  • Support and complete additional mailroom duties as assigned.
  • May perform additional functions depending on market demand and staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service.
