About The Position

As a Site Coordinator, you will initiate, coordinate and conduct community action projects for low-income people within Richland County. You will receive general supervision from the Director of Community Services. This position is responsible for:  Providing supervision of program staff within the Richland County Community Services, to include completion of annual performance appraisals.  Implementing the programmatic guidelines and ensuring adherence to the grant agreement.  Reviewing files for accuracy and compliance to programmatic guidelines.  Batching and pledging applications in accordance with established operating procedures.  Development and maintenance of a Community Action advisory committee representative of the private, public and poor sectors of the county to support the CSBG and LIHEAP projects.  Keeping the public informed of projects and activities being offered to benefit the low-income community.  Performing administrative details as required for effective management and community support.  Participating in the design and implementation of an action plan for each county project.  Proposing and recommending changes in program approaches for gaining better results.  Maintaining accurate documentation of service objectives and outcomes in accordance with Federal, State and County guidelines.

Requirements

  • Have at least two years college education and/or two years direct experience (required)
  • Have the ability to effectively supervise program staff
  • Have the ability to extract, understand and apply information.
  • Have the ability to relate, work and communicate with individuals from varying socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, particularly listening, and writing skills.
  • Have sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the population served.
  • Possess strong organizational skills with ability to meet a demanding workload.
  • Be detail oriented to complete requirements of files and contract compliance.
  • Have experience with computers and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Be willing to travel within the 5 county service area occasionally.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field (preferred)
