About The Position

As a Caseworker 2, you will be responsible for a variety of duties related to overall mental health services in the County, to include but not limited to the following: Dispatching all daytime calls to the mobile Delaware County Crisis Connections Team. Gathering essential information from callers and dispatching the team to the location. Receiving all dispatch logs for the Delaware County Crisis Connections Team and entering them into the database. Compiling statistics on various aspects of the program, analyzing data and writing monthly reports to present at meetings. Receiving referrals from various providers, reviewing applications for completeness and eligibility, assigning referred consumers to one of the providers, receiving 302 inpatient funding authorization request and maintaining databases of consumers.

Requirements

  • Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1; or successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; or a bachelor's degree with a social welfare major; or a bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social services agency; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
  • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including, but not limited to, PA State Police, Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI clearance.
