About The Position

The Counter Sales Representative reports directly to the Warehouse Manager and will support by executing and delivering on a range of responsibilities including, but not limited to, customer service, sales, inventory management, and restocking of products as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • The ideal candidate comes with up to 2-3 years of experience in retail, construction, commercial general contracting, project management, vendor management or account management.
  • Extensive use of computerized client management systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products including Excel, Outlook, and Word. CIN7 preferred.
  • Must have expert level communication skills, verbal and written skills, ability to comprehend and construct correspondence, listening skills, telephone skills, persuading and negotiating skills, information gathering skills, presentation skills, supporting skills, and the ability to accept criticism.
  • Must be willing to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with persuasive, enthusiastic, and customer-service oriented personality and good negotiation and organizational skills; detail-oriented aptitude.
  • Responsibility for follow-up on actions based on the various projects being managed.
  • High organizational skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Building strong internal and external relationships with the team, vendors, and clients using effective verbal and written communication.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn and work on different tasks as needed.
  • High attention to detail within fast-paced environment.
  • Must have eagerness/ability to adapt to procedural/administrative changes.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical and Plumbing knowledge a plus.
  • CIN7 preferred.
  • Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Customer service skills, experience assisting customers before, during, and after purchases to satisfy customer needs.
  • Effectively communicate, exchanging and understanding information both verbally and in writing.
  • Sales experience
  • Previous track record of success includes over achievement of quota, top performer, history of initial seeding of accounts and closing significantly large size deals.
  • In-depth knowledge of successful sales strategies and relationship management, as well as program development, goal setting, implementation, evaluation, contract administration and risk management of sales functions.
  • Manage product inventory, including inventory planning and tracking systems.
  • Assist customers through the entire sales process.
  • General knowledge of construction materials.
  • Electrical and Plumbing knowledge a plus.
