About The Position

Counter Sales Representative – Where Great Service Meets Strong Relationships Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (or until done) Location: South Miami At Tropic Supply, we believe the counter is more than a checkout station. It is the heartbeat of each Resource Center. It is where contractors come for answers, support, and the products that keep Florida’s HVAC systems running. We are Florida’s largest independent, family-owned HVAC and refrigeration distributor, and we are looking for individuals who enjoy being relied upon, communicating clearly, and creating memorable customer experiences. Your Role on the Counter Team In this role, you become the person contractors trust the moment they walk through the door. You help them find what they need, troubleshoot product questions, and keep the flow of the Resource Center running smoothly. Every interaction is an opportunity to strengthen loyalty and deliver service that stands out. You will be successful in this role if you enjoy a mix of customer interaction, product knowledge, and hands-on work. Instead of a long list, here is what the day really looks like: You greet every customer like they matter. Because they do. You build rapport, listen to their needs, and support them through the ordering process. You manage orders with accuracy and speed. This includes entering sales orders, pulling products, and finalizing transactions. You solve product and parts questions. Contractors depend on you to help them get the right item the first time. You support the entire Resource Center. From stocking shelves to assisting with inventory counts, you help keep operations running safely and efficiently. You help customers load products. When needed, you lend a hand with heavier materials and ensure safe handling. You handle returns, warranties, and credits. You make sure customers leave with clarity, confidence, and the right information.
