JOB SUMMARY Performs the function and duties of the count room manager when none is present and will assist in the training of team members in the functions and job duties of a drop team attendant, as well as performing such functions and job duties to include collection, verification and reconciliation of unverified currency and paperwork from Table and Slots in a safe, compliant and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to read, write and speak in English.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Must be able to obtain, and maintain, a Maine State Dual Gaming/Sportsbook License.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work quickly, safely and accurately in small teams while performing manual work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to distinguish monetary denominations for counting and verification.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and ability with office machines such as use of a calculator, computer equipment and currency counter machines.
  • Must be able to demonstrate coordinating small teams and delegating tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years as count team attendant experience or equivalent casino position is preferred.
  • Three (3) years of cash handling experience preferred.
  • The ability to evaluate situations and make effective, sound decisions and problem solve is required.

Responsibilities

  • While working assembly-line style in a small team, must be able to open and empty slot machine bill validators and collect and transport the validator boxes to the Count Room while under Security escort.
  • Accurately and with attention to detail, collect, count and verify funds and paperwork in the Count Room. Complete any necessary forms and paperwork.
  • Communicate with team members, manager and attending departments any issues.
  • Listen and follow procedures and directions, including job safety rules and regulations as well as compliance with State of Maine Gaming Regulations, Oxford Casino Internal Controls and security procedures.
  • Teamwork.
  • Able to work early morning shifts (4 or 4:30am).
  • Ability to organize the team and maintain positive motivation.
  • Assist with problem solving and resolution.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
