About The Position

Singleton Schreiber, LLP is seeking an experienced and motivated Attorney who will play a pivotal role in advocating for our clients’ rights and delivering outstanding legal services. In this position, the Counsel will focus on Personal Injury practice as well as regular litigation in state and federal courts. This position is based in our Birmingham, Alabama office.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law.
  • Able to manage and oversee cases independently
  • 10+ years of experience in litigation.
  • Proficiency in Adobe, Excel, Microsoft Office, Outlook.
  • Familiarity with E-Discovery and law programs such as, Sharefile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, Lexis, Smart Advocate, Everlaw, FileVine, OneLegal.
  • A successful candidate will be detail oriented and organized, be a team player, be reliable, and capable of multitasking and managing several time-critical projects under tight deadlines.
  • This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Personal Injury, product and premise liability, medical malpractice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage discovery, including propounding and responding to written discovery, taking, and defending depositions, and analyzing complex documents.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings and complex motions.
  • Perform legal research.
  • Make court appearances as necessary.
  • Participate in case strategy discussions and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on cases
