Requirements

Licensed attorney with at least 5 years of relevant experience in financial services, law firms, or fintech supporting institutional clients
Strong negotiation skills and experience reviewing and drafting financial agreements (prime brokerage, lending, derivatives)
Proven commercial and transactional legal experience, with interest in digital currency and blockchain technologies
Experience collaborating with cross-functional, globally distributed teams
Excellent judgment, analytical skills, and ability to balance legal and business considerations
Strong communication, problem-solving, and project ownership skills
Curiosity, flexibility, and intellectual rigor, with attention to detail and process ownership

Nice To Haves

Experience with fintech or institutional financial product launches
Knowledge of collateral arrangements, bankruptcy regulations, or cross-border legal analysis
Familiarity with regulatory filings and EDGAR processes
Experience advising on or navigating crypto and blockchain legal and compliance issues

Responsibilities

Negotiate complex, first-of-a-kind agreements with strategic partners and sophisticated counterparties
Provide end-to-end legal counsel on institutional products including prime brokerage, custody, derivatives, and financing arrangements
Advise on regulatory and compliance matters across U.S. and, when applicable, EU/UK regimes
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and enable rapid execution of business initiatives
Proactively identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks in product development and market expansion
Support the creation of scalable commercial processes to facilitate business growth
Serve as a business partner, offering practical legal solutions that support strategic goals
