About The Position

We're seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for our inpatient rehabilitation department. What You Will Do: You will assist our Occupational Therapists in providing treatment to a diverse range of patients, helping return them to productive lifestyles. Your role will involve both inpatient and outpatient therapy, allowing you to make a meaningful impact in your community.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of employment (Idaho or Oregon).
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in cognitive retraining, facilitation of motor function, exercise in patient care and delivery of occupational therapy services in an acute care or rehab setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with developing treatment plans, delivers direct patient care, and monitors patient response.
• Educates patients and families to support understanding and adherence to treatment programs.
• Completes required documentation accurately and on time in accordance with rehabilitation policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to support high‑quality patient care and outcomes.
• Acts as a patient advocate at all times.
• Participates in educational programs, in‑service training, and required continuing education to maintain licensure.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
