STV is seeking a Cost Proposal Analyst to join the firm in our Empire State Building New York, NY office. There are no sponsorships available for this position Required Qualifications Degree from an ABET certified university 2 plus years of Cost Analysis- preferred in the AEC environment Key Responsibilities would include: Collect and validate labor hour estimates from technical leads, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and level of effort Develop detailed cost proposals, including labor, overhead, fee, and direct expenses, in accordance with client requirements and contract terms Collaborate closely with project managers and discipline leads to ensure all technical and commercial inputs are accurate, complete, and aligned with project objectives Analyze budget constraints and identify cost efficiencies while maintaining competitiveness and compliance Perform cost modeling and scenario analysis to support pricing strategies and “what-if” evaluations during proposal development Review historical project data and benchmarking information to improve the accuracy and competitiveness of future proposals Ensure proposals comply with RFP requirements, including rate structures, allowable costs, and contractual limitations Coordinate with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, contracts, HR, and technical staff) to ensure all proposal components are complete and consistent Prepare and maintain detailed cost breakdowns, assumptions, and supporting documentation for internal reviews and client audits Validate application of overhead rates, escalation, and fee in accordance with company policies and client guidelines Support risk identification and quantify cost impacts related to schedule, scope changes, and resource assumptions Assist in developing pricing narratives and justifications for inclusion in technical and commercial proposals Maintain organized records of proposals, cost models, and supporting documentation for future reference and audit readiness Participate in post-proposal debriefs and win/loss analyses to identify trends, lessons learned, and process improvements Compensation Range: $95,975.90 - $109,686.74 STV offers the following benefits • Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable) • Disability insurance • Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment • 401(k) Plan • Retirement Counseling • Employee Assistance Program • Paid Time Off (starting at 16 days) • Paid Holidays (9 days) • Back-Up Dependent Care (up to 10 days per year) • Parental Leave (up to 80 hours) • Continuing Education Program • Professional Licensure and Society Memberships STV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
