About The Position
This position is responsible for the development of cost estimates, assistance in negotiations and audits, and calculating monthly cost accruals/invoicing on various types of contracts.
Requirements
- Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1+ years of experience in finance or accounting role, preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available
- Strong analytical experience for gross margin analysis
- Attention to details and flexible outlook
- Good organizational, data collection and multi-tasking skills
- Tenacious, inquisitive, driven, and a sense of urgency
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ERP Software experience
Responsibilities
- Supports the quoting activity of the Contracts, Sales & Engineering Groups with cost estimates
- Pulls data from multiple computer systems to produce coherent and supportable estimates of present and future costs
- Complies with government regulations FAR and DFAR as well as company policies
- Understands the difference between standard and actual cost accounting principles
- Has a business acumen, ability to analyze costing results and reasonableness
