We are looking for a Cost Accounting Analyst at our corporate headquarters located in Dallas, Texas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (with a minimum of 18 hours of Accounting)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing operations
  • Proficient with using Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data with a high degree of attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in SAP, Business Warehouse, and Pax or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a multi-task / multi-priority environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain reporting of monthly key financial performance metrics comparing actual performance to budget and outlooks.
  • Participate in development of the annual operating plan and monthly forecasting.
  • Adhere to the month-end close checklist/process to ensure all month-end reporting requirements are timely and fully completed within a strict timeline.
  • Act as a liaison between manufacturing plants, supply chain, and purchasing to ensure outlooks are updated with proper volumes and prices.
  • Maintain monthly and quarterly fixed costs reports for the manufacturing plants.
  • Prepare monthly unit cost reports by plant and product line and present consolidated reports to corporate management.
  • Support Business Analysis by providing various analysis and tracking of costs by product line.
  • Participate in the establishing the current year fixed cost goals for manufacturing plants; prepare updates and communicate quarterly results compared to prior year to Manufacturing Management.
  • Participate in quarterly account analysis of balance sheet activities.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as needed.
  • This position may require limited domestic and international travel.
