About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Cost Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing and overseeing financial activities related to our construction projects. You will ensure accurate, timely, and consistent financial reporting and billing, and you will collaborate closely with project managers to achieve these goals.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
5+ years of experience in cost accounting.
3+ years of experience in construction, specifically working with subcontractors.
Proficiency in cost analysis and variance analysis.
Experience in inventory management and subcontractor management.

Past experience in construction.
5+ years of experience in cost accounting or estimating.

Responsibilities

Set up jobs and pay applications.
Perform accounting duties throughout the projects, including issuing subcontract and material invoices, maintaining material inventory, approving invoices, verifying accounts receivable, and issuing purchase orders.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent financial billing and reporting.
Process quarry details for billing.
Track and record lien waivers.
Complete month-end accounting processes.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Participate in the financial close process.
Conduct cost analysis and implement cost-saving and profitable solutions for business operations.
