About The Position
Our client is a well-established and expanding manufacturing company in the Hackensack area that is looking to hire a Cost Accountant. The Cost Accountant will join a team of 3 staff reporting directly to the Director of Accounting. This is a critical role focused on the daily accounting, cost analysis, and reporting.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience.
- Prior cost exposure in a Manufacturing or Production industry.
- Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks.
- High attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the month and year-end.
- Manage the bank and account reconciliations.
- Analyze labor/job costing.
- Process invoicing, accounts payable, and purchase orders.
- Resolve variances of billed materials.
