About The Position
Fortis Institute in Pensacola is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Cosmetologist to join its faculty. We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our Cosmetology Program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Education. The primary responsibility will be to teach Cosmetology courses. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students and participate in department training, meetings, and graduation.
Requirements
- Completion of a cosmetology program resulting in a certificate of completion or diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required
- Certifications/licenses: FL Cosmetology License
- At least three years of experience as a Cosmetologist
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven
Nice To Haves
- Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred
